Hello world!

At the start of the year, I wrote about my resolutions, one of which was to post more often here. But not long after, the site started crashing.

To be honest, I’m still not sure why. It could be the database size—after all, this site has over 15 years of posts—but I’ve worked with even bigger sites without issues. Maybe it’s the high volume of visits to broken pages, since a lot of old links no longer exist. There are a few possible reasons, and I tried several fixes, but nothing worked.

On top of that, I expected to have more free time this year, but work has kept me even busier than before.

Still, some things have happened in the Idol world that made me want to start writing again. The fastest way to get back to it was a fresh install of the site. I thought about recovering the old version from this subdomain, but I didn’t look too hard. Honestly, starting over isn’t such a bad idea.

I won’t make this intro too long—just a quick note to say that from now on, I’ll be writing here on this new version of the site. Oh, and there will also be an Spanish version of each post! That’s my new goal. Let’s see if I have the patience to keep up with it.
